Girls basketball: Glenelg Country gets back on track

With a 48-22 victory over Beth Tfiloh Tuesday afternoon, Glenelg Country School evened its Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland C Conference league record at 5-5. Deja Hursey led the Dragons with 13 points; Sabrina Deleonibus added 10.

"We did a good job in transition and causing turnovers," said Glenelg Country School coach Dominique D'Amico. Her squad includes five freshmen, but she said the team has good leadership from the upperclassmen.

Beth Tfiloh remains winless (0-10) in conference play.

Glenelg Country 48, Beth Tfiloh 22

GC — Hursey 13, Deleonibus 10, Pappas 8, Renko 6, Foxwell 5, Harbold 4, Nwodim 2. FT: 3-8.

BT — Braverman 6, Shapiro 5, Vogelsstein 4, Cardin 3, Taragis 2, Kuntz 2. FT: 4-8.

Halftime: Glenelg Country, 21-8.
