12 arrested in latest North Laurel reverse prostitution sting

Howard County police arrested 12 men Thursday, Aug. 4, in a reverse prostitution sting along the Route 1 corridor in North Laurel.

Female police officers in plain clothes were stationed along Route 1, and anyone who approached the officers and offered money in exchange for sex was arrested and charged with solicitation of prostitution.

Police have already arrested 17 men in two reverse prostitution stings earlier this year. In 2010, they conducted six stings, which resulted in 76 arrests.
