Police arrest 9 in North Laurel prostitution sting

In their second such sting this year, Howard County police arrested nine men for soliciting prostitution along the Route 1 corridor in North Laurel.

On Friday, June 24, female officers worked undercover dressed as prostitutes and arrested men who solicited them. Of the nine arrested, two men were from Elkridge, three from Laurel and one from Columbia.

In an earlier operation in April, eight men were arrested. In 2010, police conducted six similar stings, resulting in 76 arrests.
