Police arrest man with knife in Harper's Choice

An Elkridge man was arrested early Monday evening, Sept. 12, in Columbia's Harper's Choice Village Center after police responded to reports of a fight in the center.

Police were called to the village center at 5:20 p.m. for a report of a fight. There, they saw a man with a knife who "actively resisted" officers and was taken into custody, according to police spokeswoman Elizabeth Schroen.

Jerrell Desean Hall, 33, has been charged with first- and second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest, Schroen said.

Nobody was injured in the fight, she said.
