County to replace 76-year-old bridge on Shady Lane in Glenwood

The county is replacing the 76-year-old bridge on Shady Lane in Glenwood, which will be closed to traffic during construction, slated to start Monday, Aug. 29.

The bridge is located a half-mile north of Sharp Road. Traffic will not be able to access Shady Lane one-tenth of a mile before the bridge and about one mile south of Burntwoods Road.

Sharp Road and Burntwoods Road will be used to detour traffic. Signs will be posted.

The project is expected to be complete by early February 2012. Motorists seeking updates on the project can listen to a recorded message by calling 410-313-3639.
