Police looking for suspects in Maple Lawn bank robbery

Howard County police are searching for two suspects who robbed a Sun Trust Bank Thursday afternoon in the 7400 block of Maple Lawn Blvd. in Fulton.

Police said that one suspect entered the bank around 3:30 p.m. while the other stayed outside. The suspect inside approached the teller, took a deposit envelope from lone customer, then demanded cash from the teller, police said. No weapon was implied or displayed, and no one was injured, police said. The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police described the first suspect as a black male, 6-foot-2 to 6-foot-5 in height, with long dreadlocks, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a bandana covering his face. The second suspect is described as a black male, 5-5 to 5-8, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and a bandana covering his face.

Up to $500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call county police at 410-313-7867.
