Police identify man killed in Ellicott City electrocution accident

A man working on a construction site for a new home in Ellicott City was killed Tuesday afternoon in an electrocution accident, according to a news release from Howard County Police.

The worker, Emeterio Badillo Soto, 29, of Hyattsville, was carrying metal scaffolding at the site in the 9200 block of Furrow Avenue when it touched an electrical wire.

Police say the Howard County fire and rescue personnel responded and provided CPR, but the worker died at the scene.
