College News: Columbia residents earn honors, degrees

Hillary McCarthy, of Columbia, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 quarter at the Savannah College of Art and Design, in Savannah, Ga. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in animation.

Mary Jordan, of Columbia, has received Faculty Honors for the spring 2011 semester atTrinity College, inHartford, Conn.

Lainie Torres, of Columbia, earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Union Institute and University, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
