Rachel Berkowitz, of Columbia, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester at Clark University, in Worcester, Mass.

Katherine Koehling, of Columbia, earned a Bachelor of Arts in management and a minor in sociology in May from Lynchburg College, in Lynchburg, Va. She was awarded the Carey Brewer Outstanding Management Award and was named to the dean's list for the 2011 spring semester.

The following students, all from Columbia, earned degrees in May from Frostburg State University:

Stephanie Obaigbena earned a Bachelor of Science in sociology;

Courtney Smith earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration;

Garreth Snyder earned a Bachelor of Science in economics;

Jerrell Turner earned a Bachelor of Science in liberal studies;

Dean Dodson earned a Bachelor of Science in liberal studies;

Michelle Frost earned a Master of Education in education; and

Jessica Hayes earned a Master of Education in education.

The following students, all from Columbia, have been named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester at Frostburg State University:

Shakira Dixon, Jamie Frank, David Young, Jennifer Cruz, Kevin Loftus, Stephanie Obaigbena, James O'Donnell, Courtney Smith, Lindsey Frost, Edwina Rogers.

Nathaniel Gant, of Columbia, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester at Virginia Military Institute, in Lexington, Va. He is majoring in civil engineering.
