Brian Reed, of Columbia, was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship Award at the Dublin Institute of Technology in Dublin, Ireland. This award is issued through the U.S. State Department. He will be lecturing and conducting research in the field of environmental engineering with a focus on improving group/project based learning on the undergraduate level from September 2011 through June 2012.
McDonogh School Headmaster Charlie Britton announced that senior William Plowe, of Columbia, has been named Commended Students in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program. In addition, Donald McGill, of Columbia, has been recognized as an Outstanding Participant in the National Achievement Scholarship Program.
