In addition to serving as varsity wrestling coach, Triplett had served as assistant athletic director from 1990-1992 and athletic director since 1992, with the exception of one year when he was director of students.

The Gaels participate in 16 varsity sports, ranging from soccer to water polo and basketball to ice hockey, as members of the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association, according to the school's website.

The coaches of both the football team, which finished 3-6, and the lacrosse team, which finished 1-14, were in their first seasons as head coaches at the school.

In the spring, the rugby team defeated Calvert Hall for the conference championship and the golf team reached the conference final, according to the school's website.

Eight varsity teams compiled a .500 record or better this past season.
