Police continue search for Catonsville man missing for a year

The Baltimore County police have again asked for the public's help in locating a Catonsville missing more than a year.

Kent Lafon Ridley, 48, was last seen Oct. 24, 2010 at the home in the 100 block of Wesley Avenue he shares with a family member in the Winters Lane community of Catonsville.

Ridley's family has not seen or heard from him since, according to a release from Baltimore County police.

Ridley is described as a black male, 5-foot-6, 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

He has a light mustache and usually wears glasses.

Last December, county police asked for the public's help in identifying a man and woman caught on surveillance video using Ridley's Independence Card.

Det. Cathy Batton, a spokeswoman for the police, said the pair was identified but not connected to Ridley's disappearance.

The police ask anyone with information about Ridley to call county police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-2587.

Callers to Metro Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may receive an award of up to $2,000.
