Holiday Decorations Contest — The Bent Twig Garden Club will present an award this year for a beautifully and naturally decorated home in Catonsville. In accordance with The Federated Garden Club of Maryland, decorations should include natural materials in some part of the display. Visit Santa — Fridays, Dec. 9 and 16, 6-8 p.m., Saturdays, Dec. 10 and 17, 2-4 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 18, 2-5 p.m., at Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce's Santa House next to Catonsville Fire Station, 756 Frederick Road.

Christmas Bazaar — Dec. 10, 8:30 a.m. to noon at St. Mark Church, 30 Melvin Ave, Catonsville. Local artisans and crafters with unique handmade jewelry, paintings, pottery, Christmas crafts, spiritual gifts and hand-crafted hair bows. Hand-made Christmas wreaths also available.

Santa's Secret Workshop — hosted by Girl Scout troops of Catonsville and Arbutus 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 10, at Catonsville United Methodist Church, 6 Melvin Ave. Inexpensive gifts for the whole family made area Girl Scouts. Candy, ornaments, jewelry, accessories, and pet gifts. Santa visits 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m Food and beverages available.

Holiday Craft Show — at Arbutus Senior Center, 855 A Sulphur Spring Road, Dec. 10, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Handmade crafts, homemade candy, refreshments and door prizes. $2 admission. 410-887-1410.
