Ashley Palaigos and Trey Witt III


Catonsville residents Anthony and Linda Palaigos announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Rae Palaigos, to Lt.j.g. Wallace Thurston "Trey" Witt III, son of W. Thurston Jr. and Marion Witt, of Dallas.

An alumna of Catonsville High School, the future bride received the Banneker/Key Scholarship, the school's most prestigious merit scholarship, to attend the University of Maryland on its College Park campus.

She participated in the elite Honors Program, served as an Images Ambassador and graduated cum laude with a degree in government and politics.

In 2009-10, she was awarded the Baltimore Law Scholarship while attending the University of Baltimore School of Law.

After transferring to the University of Florida's Levin College of Law, she is currently externing in the attorney general's office, Jacksonville, Fla.

A graduate of Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, her fiancé completed a Bachelor of Science degree as a Distinguished Graduate in mechanical engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, inAnnapolis.

He earned his Wings of Gold, January, 2010, in Milton, Fla.

He is stationed in Jacksonville as a MH-60R helicopter pilot.

The couple is planning a September wedding.
