Two men have been arrested in connection with a kidnapping and sexual assault Oct. 1 near the corner of Ingleside and Edmondson avenues.

The corner was also near the site of another kidnapping and sexual assault Sept. 25 — and one of the two suspects has been charged in that crime. In addition, the men have been charged in a third assault that occurred Oct. 1 in Baltimore City.

A 17-year-old girl told Baltimore County Police she got off the bus at 12:40 p.m. at the Catonsville intersection to walk to a different bus stop.

The driver of a Ford SUV forced her into the vehicle. Inside was a second man, armed with a handgun. They drove to an alley in Baltimore City where the man in the backseat sexually assaulted the girl. They took her cellphone, wallet, money and identification card and dropped her off at a nearby apartment complex.

A similar assault occurred at 9:20 p.m. on Sept. 25, according to county police.

An 18-year-old woman went to the Wilkens Avenue station to report that as she got off the MTA bus at that corner, a Ford SUV pulled up alongside her, pointed a gun and ordered her into the car. The man drove her to the corner of an apartment complex on Fern Valley Circle and forced her to perform a sexual act.

Her identification card, money and camera were taken from her before she was let out of the car. She originally did not report the sexual assault but revealed it later in the investigation, police said.

Baltimore County Police say a third similar assault was reported on Oct. 1 in Baltimore City. It was while the investigation was going on that the third assault was reported to have occurred late in the afternoon of Oct. 1. Police say the suspect vehicle matched the description of the vehicle used in the Baltimore County kidnapping.

After an extensive search and investigation by both police departments, the suspects were arrested in the northwest section of Baltimore City at 11:20 p.m. that same day.

William Campbell, 25 of the 4600 block of Pen Lucy Road, Baltimore, has been charged in both cases. He is charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping, two counts of first degree assault, two counts of firearm use in a felony crime, one count of first degree sex offense and one count of first degree rape.

Kenyon Waller, 21, of the 3200 block of Westwood Avenue, Baltimore, has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, kidnapping, first degree assault, firearm use in a felony crime, and first degree rape one count each.

Baltimore City Police reported that additional warrants are pending against the two in connection with the city assault.

Both men are being held without bail in the Baltimore County Detention Center.
