In baseball, I'd be a utility infielder. In my time with newspapers in Maryland, I have been a reporter, editor, photographer, darkroom tech (a defunct occupation) and on occasion have also delivered papers. These days, I am editorial page editor for The Aegis and The Record in Harford County, and also a copy desk manager for the Baltimore Sun Media Group's community news operations. My editorial page function involves working with other editors to devise and write institutional positions on issues in Harford County, as well as coordinating letters to the editor for publication. My copy desk role involves copy editing stories and designing pages for The Aegis and The Record in Harford County as well as the Carroll County Times. I was born and raised in the Baltimore area, having spent formative years in Annapolis, Reisterstown, Havre de Grace and greater Bel Air. My wife and I have two children and the four of us live in Forest Hill. In my free time, I enjoy fishing and outdoor activities.
