Capital Gazette wins special Pulitzer Prize citation for coverage of newsroom shooting that killed five

Brent Kennedy started at the Howard County Times/Columbia Flier in May of 2006, spending the years since writing on literally a little bit of everything around Howard County and the Baltimore Metro Region. In October 2012, he became sports editor for the Times and Flier. Then in January 2017, he stepped into the role of high school sports coordinator for the Baltimore Sun Media Group. Brent grew up in Howard County, graduating from Howard High School in 2002, before earning a degree from Towson University.
