Brent Kennedy
Brent Kennedy started at the Howard County Times/Columbia Flier in May of 2006, serving as a sports reporter for Howard County and the Baltimore Metro Region. In October 2012, he became sports editor for the Times and Flier. Then in January 2017, he stepped into the role of high school sports coordinator for the Baltimore Sun Media Group.

Between the 2A and 3A classifications, Carroll County athletes won eight individual events or relays at the outdoor track state championships over the weekend at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex.
- Mt. Hebron's Trinetra Vijayakumar, the Centennial pair of Rose Huang and Michelle Fradlin, and the Reservoir duo of Yari Armand and Joshua Cai all earned state titles while representing Howard County at the Wilde Lake Tennis Club on June 19, 2021.
