Eastern Tech sophomore midfielder Ashley Hallameyer will never forget her goal against Perry Hall Tuesday.
Hallameyer's kick to the upper right corner from 18 yards out in the 20th minute halted the Gators' bid to win their fourth straight Baltimore County championship as Eastern Tech (12-0-2) posted a 1-0 victory at Franklin High.
It was Eastern Tech's first county championship since 2008 and sixth overall for coach Kim Williams at the school.
"It was really nice to get the title back," she said. "We hadn't been here in three years. Prior to that, we held it for a long time. I can't say at the beginning of the season we had this as a goal. Then the season starting rolling along and we are playing well and handling our division. Before we realized it, we had earned this spot."
Perry Hall pushed hard for the equalizer in the final minutes and tested the defense of Abby Freas, Laura Thacker, Sarah Romecki and Meghan Miller and goalie Ryan Jones.
