When Loch Raven wins, the Raiders do it one way: In convincing fashion.

Loch Raven thrashed visiting Parkville Thursday night, 51-21, to improve its dual-meet record to 3-1.

The Raiders have also routed Mount Carmel and Overlea.

Loch Raven coach Anthony Menegatti said the Raiders have been one of most coachable teams he's had in 14 seasons.

Obviously, that's paving the way to their success.

"I think these guys are willing to listen and learn and correct their mistakes," he said. "That's all you can ask for from any team."

Menegatti liked how his Raiders quickly took control against Parkville, jumping out to a 24-3 lead.

Senior Branden Smith (195 pounds, 4-0) highlighted that stretch with a pin of Dievy Sorto in 50 seconds.

Loch Raven also received pins from Jacob Ebrite (106, 4-0), Baika Sesay (126), Austin Perry (145) and Alex Prince (160).

Prince's pin gave the Raiders a 51-9 lead — its biggest of the night.

Heavyweight Tim Cornwe won a 4-3 decision in overtime against Jordan Thompson, Lavon Pratt (170) tech falled Andrew Spencer, 17-2, and Renard Vann (180) gained a forfeit to account to Parkville's points.

"I have to be extremely patient with this team," said Parkville coach Gary Burkhardt, whose team fell to 0-2 in dual meets with the other loss coming to Lansdowne. "We are very young. Even the guys who are junior and seniors are still young as wrestlers. The basic, simple mistakes that you drill in practice everyday you are bound to see out on the mat."
