Among the 65 calls received by the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department for medical and fire-rescue service Sept. 18-25 were the following:

Hollins Ferry Road at Rambo Court, 9:19 p.m. Sept. 24. Crews responded to the report of a person injured in an assault in Lansdowne and transported one seriously injured person to the University of Shock Trauma Center.

Mary Ann Lane, 6000 block, 3:47 p.m. Sept. 22. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a dwelling fire in Howard County and found a smoke test in progress.

Wilkens Avenue, 4900 block, 8:17 a.m. Sept. 22. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment in Arbutus. One person with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.

Stevens Avenue, 1200 block, 2:54 a.m. Sept. 21. Crews from the Arbutus and Violetville volunteer stations and Catonsville and Halethorpe career stations responded to the report of a dwelling fire in Arbutus and found a malfunctioning air conditioning unit.

Waelchli Avenue, 100 block, 10:22 p.m. Sept. 20. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a person having a stroke in Arbutus. One critically ill person taken to a local hospital.
