Among the 76 calls for medical and fire-rescue service the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received Sept. 11-18 were the following:

Poplar Avenue, 1300 block, 7:07 a.m. Sept. 14. Crews responded to the report of an injury in Arbutus and transported one seriously injured person to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Elmridge Avenue, 1100 block, 3:20 a.m. Sept. 14. Crews from the Arbutus, English Consul, Lansdowne and Violetville volunteer stations and Catonsville, Halethorpe and Westview career stations responded to the report of a dwelling fire in Arbutus with people trapped inside. A bedroom fire was extinguished with no injuries reported.

Interstate 695 between Wilkens Avenue and Frederick Road, 3:19 p.m. Sept. 13. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer and Catonsville and Woodlawn career stations responded to the report of a truck fire on the Baltimore Beltway and extinguished a small fire.

Washington Boulevard at Interstate 695, 3:03 p.m. Sept. 12. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer and Halethorpe career stations responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident in Halethorpe. Two people with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.

Interstate 695 between Frederick Road and Wilkens Avenue, 10:26 a.m. Sept. 12.Crews from the Arbutus volunteer and Catonsville career stations responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injury on the Baltimore Beltway in Catonsville. One person with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.
