Among the 70 calls the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received for medical and fire-rescue service during the period Dec. 11-18 were the following:
Interstate 695 between Wilkens Avenue and Frederick Road, 4:09 a.m. Dec. 17. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville and Halethorpe career stations responded to the report of motor vehicle accident on the Baltimore Beltway in Arbutus. One person rescued from the vehicle.
Lakebrook Circle, 2900 block, 10:14 p.m. Dec. 17. Crews from the Lansdowne, Arbutus, English Consul and Violetville volunteer stations and Catonsville, Halethorpe and Westview career stations responded to the report of an apartment fire in Lansdowne. A stove top fire was extinguished.
McDowell Lane, 4300 block, 10:09 p.m. Dec. 12. A dwelling fire was reported. Crews from the English Consul, Arbutus and Lansdowne volunteer stations and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a dwelling fire in English Consul and found a malfunctioning furnace.

Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville career station responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injury on the Baltimore Beltway in Arbutus. One person with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.
Interstate 695 at Frederick Road, 7:11 a.m. Dec. 11. Crews from the Arbutus and English Consul volunteer stations and Catonsville, Halethorpe, Westview and Woodlawn career stations responded to the report of motor vehicle accident with injuries on the Baltimore Beltway in Catonsville. Two people with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital. One seriously injured person taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
