Among the 91 calls for medical and fire-rescue service the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received Sept. 4-11 were the following:
Tartarian Court, 3200 block, 8:29 p.m. Sept. 9. Crews from the Lansdowne and Arbutus volunteer stations responded to the report of an assault with injury in Lansdowne. One seriously injured person taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Gwynn Oak Avenue at Purnell Drive, 6:51 a.m. Sept. 8. Crews from the Woodlawn and Arbutus volunteer stations and Catonsville, Westview and Woodlawn career stations responded to a request for a swiftwater rescue in Gwynn Oak. One person rescued from a vehicle in the water. No injuries reported.
Wilkens Avenue at Interstate 695, 9:54 p.m. Sept. 6. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injury in Arbutus. One seriously injured person taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
South Symington Avenue, unit block, 2:19 p.m. Sept. 6. Crews from the Arbutus and Violetville volunteer stations and Catonsville, Halethorpe and Westview career stations responded to the report of an apartment fire in Catonsville and extinguished a fire in the basement fire.
Council Street, 5500 block, 12:12 p.m. Sept 5. Crews from the Arbutus, English Consul, Lansdowne and Violetville volunteer stations and Catonsville, Halethorpe and Westview career stations responded to the report of a dwelling fire in Arbutus and extinguished the fire.
