Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department responses include aid for victim of Friday's heat

Among the 76 calls for medical and fire-rescue service the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received July 24-31 were the following:

Selford Road at Elm Road, 11:57 p.m. July 29. Crews responded to the report of a person having a medical problem in Halethorpe and transported one person with a non-life-threatening illness to a local hospital.

Baltimore National Pike, 6000 block, 10:35 p.m. July 29. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville career station responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injury in Westview. One person with non-life-threatening injuries transported to a local hospital.

Baltimore National Pike, 6500 block, 2:58 p.m. July 29. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Westview career station responded to a person suffering from the heat in Westview. One seriously ill person transported to a local hospital.

Lakebrook Circle, 2900 block, 12:26 p.m. July 27. Crews from the Lansdowne, Arbutus and English Consul volunteer stations responded to the report of a cardiac arrest in Lansdowne. One critically ill person transported to a local hospital.

Poplar Avenue, 1200 block, 11:58 p.m. July 24. Crews responded to the report of a person injured after a fall in Arbutus and transported one seriously injured person to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
