Arbutus volunteers respond to accident call on Baltimore Beltway near I-70

Among the 53 calls the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department for medical and fire-rescue service Jan. 29-Feb. 5 were the following:

Melvin Avenue, 300 block, 8:16 p.m. Feb. 4. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville career station responded to the report of an unconscious person in Catonsville. One seriously ill person transported to a local hospital.

Alan Drive, 4300 block, 1:18 a.m. Feb. 4. Crews from the Arbutus and Violetville volunteer stations and Catonsville, Halethorpe and Westview career stations responded to the report of an apartment fire in Arbutus. A dryer and trash can fire was extinguished.

Interstate-695 between I-70 and Security Boulevard, 3:08 p.m. Feb. 3. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Westview career station responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injury in Westview. One person with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.

Queen Anne Street, 5900 block, 3:41 p.m. Feb. 2. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville, Westview and Woodlawn career stations responded to the report of residential fire in Westview and extinguished a house fire.

Poplar Avenue, 1300 block, 4:07 a.m. Feb. 3.Crews responded to the report of an unconscious person in Arbutus. One seriously ill person taken to a local hospital.
