Man with tatoo on inside of wrist robs Hallmark store in Arbutus

Gateway Terrace, 4700 block, 11:20 p.m., Oct. 17. Man and his cousin got into an argument about house keys. Argument turned into a fight outside of residence. One man slashed the other on the hand with pocket knife. The knife-wielding man arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault.

Hammonds Ferry Road and First Avenue, 3-3:25 p.m., Oct. 16. Man walking down Hammonds Ferry Road approached by a group of men who yelled and cursed at him. One member of group pressed a gun against the man's stomach and chin. Nothing stolen.

Spring Avenue, 4300 block, between 12:30 p.m., Oct. 2 and noon, Oct. 16. Ladder stolen from backyard of residence.

Hollins Ferry Road, 3800 block, 5:54 p.m., Oct. 15. Man waited for customers at Speedy Mart to leave, approached clerk with a knife and demanded he open the register. The robber jumped the counter, hit the register keys until the drawer opened and stole money.

East Drive, 5400 block, 2:07 p.m., Oct. 15. Man entered Cigarette Discount Outlet and gave clerk a note demanding money. He then punched a display case, breaking the glass. Clerk called for her husband and man robber fled. Nothing stolen.

Superior Avenue, 1800 block, 7:05 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Oct. 14. Jewelry stolen from residence.

East Drive, 5200 block, 3:15-3:24 p.m., Oct. 14. Man with a knife approached employee at Hallmark store and demanded money. The robber leaned over counter and stole money from register. Robber described as a white man, 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-8 with a medium build and a tattoo on inside of his right wrist.

Poplar Avenue, 1200 block, Between 7:30 a.m., Oct. 11 and 7:30 a.m., Oct. 12. Two ladders stolen from fenced-in backyard.

Niagara Court, 900 block, 1:40-3 p.m., Oct. 12. Bedroom ransacked and shed behind residence broken into with hammer stolen from home. Two bicycles stolen.

Violet Avenue, 3200 block, Between 8 a.m., Oct. 1 and 8:35 a.m., Oct. 12. Copper and electrical hook ups to air conditioning unit's condenser cut. Air conditioning unit stolen.

Louisiana Avenue, 2800 block, 10:13 p.m., Oct. 11. Man followed another man in his car. When man being followed got out of his vehicle armed with a golf club to fight, the other man drove his vehicle into the man and his vehicle. Driver arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault and destruction of property.

Rambo Court, 700 block, between 3 p.m., Oct. 10 and 2:30 p.m., Oct. 11. Two windows broken. Tobacco left on kitchen sink. Nothing stolen.

Michigan Avenue, 3000 block, 10:10-10:35 a.m., Oct. 11. Two men parked truck in yard. One started cutting the grass, and the other cut the copper and electrical hook-up lines to two air conditioning units. The air conditioning units were stolen.

East Drive, 5300 block, 9:31 p.m., Oct. 10. Man wearing a handkerchief over his face entered Apex Mini Mart with a knife and demanded money. He reached over the counter and stole cash from register.

Bigley Avenue, 400 block, 12:30 p.m., Oct. 10. Scooter stolen from fenced in yard. Man later arrested and charged with fourth-degree burglary.

McDowell Lane, 3700 block, between 9 a.m., Oct. 7 and 6 a.m., Oct. 10. Back door forced open. Kitchen and bedroom dresser drawers rifled through. Nothing stolen.
