Arbutus Crime Log: Armed robber flees from two men

The following is compiled from local police reports.

Francis Avenue, 1300 block, 6:45 p.m., Feb. 12. Man approached two men, showed knife and demanded money. Two refused and confronted him. Man with knife fled on foot. Nothing stolen.

Aldgate Green, 4700 block, 2:35 p.m., Feb. 10. Man broke front window of residence, reached in and tried to unlock door. He fled when he saw someone inside. Nothing stolen.

Selma Avenue, 5500 block, 2:55-3:05 a.m., Feb. 10. Two men entered residence without permission and assaulted man and two women. One women was ex-girlfriend of man who entered the residence. Refrigerator door broken. Both men charged with third-degree burglary and destruction of property. Man identified as ex-boyfriend also charged with three counts of second-degree assault. Second man also charged with one count of second-degree assault.

Annapolis Road, 4500 block, 1:30 p.m., Feb. 7. Two men and woman entered parking lot of Hillis-Carnes Engineering and attempted to steal 100 feet of nails. Witness approached group and they returned the property.

Illinois Avenue, 2800 block, 2:30-2:40 p.m., Feb. 6. Man who said he was sick and needed water asked to come into residence. Cash stolen.

Leeds Terrace, 1200 block, noon-2 p.m., Feb. 6. Molding and glass pane removed from rear door of residence. Desk drawers rummaged through. Nothing stolen.

Arbutus Avenue, 1800 block, 12:44-1 p.m., Feb. 6. Air conditioning unit, copper pipe, tire and rim stolen from residence.
