Crime log: Man who attempted to rob Arbutus bank Jan. 19 arrested

Brady Avenue, 1900 block, between 4 p.m., Jan. 20 and 5:45 p.m., Jan. 22. Fence around yard at Pike Electric cut. Lock to storage unit cut. Unknown items stolen.

Interstate-295 footbridge near Freeway Road, 7-7:20 p.m., Jan. 21. Two men approached another man and demanded he empty his pockets. When man refused, two knocked him to ground and assaulted him. Cell phone, money, wallet, bank card and watch stolen.

Taylor Avenue, 1200 block, between 5 p.m., Jan. 18 and 8 p.m., Jan. 20. Gate to backyard of residence force open. Shed pried open. Leaf blower and three rims and tires stolen.

Annapolis Road, 4500 block, 11:20 a.m., Jan. 20. Tub and steel screens stolen from rear yard of Dell Plastics.

Mayfield Avenue, 1800 block, 7:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m., Jan. 19. Rear bathroom window of residence pried open. Computer, jewelry and money stolen.

East Drive, 5200 block, 1:53 p.m., Jan. 19. Man handed note to Bank of America teller demanding specific bills or he would shoot teller. Man grabbed money from teller and from drawer and ran out. He was later arrested on Circle Drive and charged with armed robbery.

Polar Avenue, 1300 block, between 5 p.m., Jan. 18 and 4:25 p.m., Jan. 19. Lock of door of boarded residence pried open. Two tool kits and jewelry stolen.

Highview Avenue, 4300 block, 11:29 a.m., Jan. 17. Two men went to Highview Avenue looking for teen girl they say stole money or drugs from them. Two hit teen boy until he told them girl was downstairs. Two grabbed girl, hit her and told her to get in car. Men arrested and charged with kidnapping. One also charged with second-degree assault.
