A good deal of items available at Arbutus church's Sunday swap session

Need storage or display space for the gold, frankincense or myrrh received at Christmas? Does this require getting rid of items no longer in use, yet still in great condition?

Let Halethorpe-Relay United Methodist Church's ladies come to the rescue. The group will hold a Sisters Stuff Swap at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at 4513 Ridge Ave., for gals of all ages. Simply bring things you are willing to trade (no junk, please) and make an offer. If no trade occurs, don't despair. All excess goods will be donated to Southwest Emergency Services' outreach. A win-win!

Speaking of the SWES ministry reminds us to issue congratulations to coordinator Betty Okonski and her bevy of devoted volunteers as they celebrate 30 years of giving this month. SWES began its work in January 1982 with a handful of local churches involved. Today, 18 area congregations work together to assist neighbors in need. Well done, one and all!
