A 47-year-old Whiteford man, who was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore Tuesday evening after being pinned underneath at tractor at a local tractor sales and repair business, remained hospitalized Thursday.
The injured man was identified late Wednesday as Thomas R. Hall.
Harford County sheriff's deputies and the Whiteford Volunteer Fire Company responded to Atlantic Tractor in the 700 block of Wheeler School Road in Whiteford for an industrial accident Tuesday afternoon.
Hall was repairing a tractor when the jack stands supporting the tractor collapsed, pinning him underneath, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Other employees heard a loud noise, found Hall unresponsive and performed CPR until EMS personnel arrived, according to a sheriff's office news release. Hall was extricated and transported to the shock trauma by a Maryland State Police Medevac helicopter.
The Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Division has been contacted about the incident, sheriff's office spokesperson Monica Worrell said Wednesday.
Hall's condition was originally listed as serious. His condition was not available Thursday afternoon.
