Fallston, Bel Air, C. Milton Wright and Harford Tech girls volleyball teams all posted wins Tuesday night in UCBAC division battles
Fallston defeated Rising Sun in a Chesapeake Division girls volleyball match, winning in three games with scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-12.
Leading the Cougars was Abby Claborn with 16 points scored on her serve, 20 assists and six kills. Rachael Holehouse put down 26 kills and dug up 16 balls, while Phoenix Offutt was big at the net with eight blocks. Emily Letke had 13 assists and Anna Holehouse had 13 digs.
Bobcats top Huskies
Visiting Bel Air defeated Patterson Mill in five games Tuesday. The scores were 25-27, 25-15, 21-25, 25-23 and 16-14.
Bel Air's leaders were Jen Schofield, eight assists; Amanda Rodriguez, 11 assists, three kills, four aces; Alex Williams, 10 kills, four aces, six digs; Celeste Roland, five kills, eight aces, five digs; Tia Williams, six kills, one ace; Jackie Deluise, four kills, one ace; and Samantha Liberto, seven digs and four perfect passes.
"What an outstanding match to watch and coach. Both teams put forth great efforts and played their hearts out," Bobcats coach Tim Markland said.
Mustangs edge Hawks
C. Milton Wright also needed five games to get past North Harford. The scores were 20-25, 25-9, 25-18, 16-25 and 15-8.
Britney Fleming had five aces for the Hawks and Julua Berg had three aces. Morgan Knox added two aces and five kills and Emily Cunningham had three kills.
Cobras nip Rams
Host Harford Tech and Edgewood also went to five games to settle a Tech win. The scores were 25-13, 25-15, 21-25, 24-26 and 15-12.
Notable players for Tech were Brittany Chavis, four aces, one block, one kill; Casey Pilar, one ace, one kill, three blocks; Brittany Horseman, two aces; and Alyssa Hockaday, two aces, two kills and two blocks.
Edgewood was led by Krysten Turner, seven aces and six kills, and Alicia Grant, 13 aces.
Panthers sweep Mariners
Joppatowne visited Perryville and lost 3-0 Tuesday. The scores were 25-14, 25-17 and 25-23.
