Erin Wiley is Harford County government's Employee of the Month for May

Erin Wiley, a GIS analyst for the Department of Planning and Zoning, was named Harford County government's Employee of the Month for May.

Wiley, a nine-year employee of Harford County Government, was nominated for the award by Bel Air attorney John Gessner.

According to the county, like many other citizens and land use professionals, Gessner has frequently sought Wiley's assistance in producing and printing maps and aerial imagery based on required specifications.

"She is unfailingly prompt, pleasant, accurate and cooperative," Gessner stated in his nomination. "She understands how the photo system works and is willing to customize my request to include overlays of relevant data such as parcel boundaries, zoning boundaries, etc. Erin's wonderful performance is worthy of recognition by Harford County and I urge the committee to name her as Employee of the Month."

In presenting the Employee of the Month award, Harford County Executive David R. Craig said in a press release: "Erin's dedication, customer service skills and proficiency with GIS are second to none, and she thoroughly deserves this award."

"It is not often that we receive a nomination from someone outside of county government, but that just goes to show how much appreciation there is in the quality of service that Erin provides to citizens and to professionals in both the public and private sectors," Craig added. "She is a very valuable asset to Harford County, and I congratulate her on this recognition."
