The Maryland Black Ice 14U softball team will be conducting tryouts for the upcoming 2011-2012 season on Aug. 13 and 14 and Aug. 20 and 21 at the Warren Place Fields, 10535 York Road in Cockeysville. The tryouts will be held from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. All interested players should report 30 minutes before the scheduled tryout to fill out paperwork and complete mandatory warm-ups. Pitchers and catchers should contact head coach Matt Harbaugh by email at mmharbaugh@verizon.net prior to the tryout and may be asked to stay 30 minutes later. All players are expected to attend at least two of the four scheduled tryouts. Private tryouts can also be arranged.
