An Aberdeen man is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in early February in a case in which he is charged with second- and third-degree sexual offense.
Joshua Anthony Jones, 21, of the 500 block of Bonnie Drive, was charged Jan. 12 with sexual offense as well as two counts of second-degree assault, relating to an incident on Nov. 1. Jones' preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 9 in Harford County District Court.
In November, an 11-year-old girl spent the night at her 8-year-old friend's house, according to charging documents, when Jones, a friend of the family, allegedly sexually assaulted her on several occasions.
During an interview in December, Jones said he was never left alone with the children and "learned his lesson" when he was accused of sexual abuse in 2010, according to charging documents.
Jones had a bail review hearing on Jan. 13, when his bail was revised from $350,000 to none.
