A 16-year-old girl was found in South Carolina early Tuesday morning after running away from her Abingdon home Monday.
Bethany Celeste Eder left a note at her home, in the 1400 block of Valley Forge Way, around 7:30 in the morning Monday, saying she was leaving to "get a new start," according to a missing person report filed at the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Bethany and her parents had gotten into an argument on Sunday about an inappropriate relationship she had with a co-worker and afterward, according to the report, she was seen writing a letter in which she said she was "getting her thoughts out."
She was found unharmed around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday at a bus station in Aiken, S.C., Harford County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Monica Worrell said. Police were originally notified of her disappearance at 8:57 a.m. on Monday, Worrell said.
