Havre de Grace man held without bond on violation of probation

A Havre de Grace man is being held without bond on a violation of probation charge after a bail review hearing Wednesday afternoon.

Randall P. Worthington Jr., 28, of the 200 block of Prescott Court, appeared before District Court Judge Susan Hazlett Wednesday, where she ordered him held without bond. Worthington was arrested Tuesday on a bench warrant in a case he was charged with altering a drug or alcohol test.

Worthington had just appeared in court for that case on Oct. 20, according to electronic court records.

At Wednesday's bail review, Worthington's representative, Attorney Kevin J. Mahoney, asked that his court date for the violation of probation charge be scheduled around the same time as the violation of probation hearing for Circuit Court Judge Angela Eaves, which is scheduled for Dec. 2.

Assistant State's Attorney Robert Legg brought up Worthington's four prior drug-related convictions and requested that he remain held without bond.
