A Delaware man was charged Saturday after allegedly stabbing a Havre de Grace man in Rehoboth Beach, Del.
Delaware State Police charged Lavar W. Hall, 34, of Rehoboth Beach, with first-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony, according to a news release, in connection with an incident on Saturday around 9:20 p.m. on Norwood Street.
Hall allegedly fought with a 19-year-old Havre de Grace man, whose name has not been released, and during the fight, allegedly stabbed him in the upper body several times with a pocket knife, according to the release. The night before, according to the release, the Havre de Grace man allegedly pointed an air gun at Hall, which made Hall angry.
After fleeing the area, Hall returned to the scene where state police troopers took him into custody. The Havre de Grace man was transported to the Beebe Memorial Hospital for treatment of his wounds.
Hall was being held at the Department of Corrections on a $20,000 secured bond.
