An Aberdeen man, who was arrested Nov. 23 in connection with a March beating in Havre de Grace that left another man unconscious, remained jailed in Harford County this week.
Tyrell Orlando Polley, 21, of the 200 block of Mayberry Drive, id charged with concealing a dangerous weapon, as well as robbery and first- and second-degree assault. The robbery and assault charges both relate to an incident on March 25 in Havre de Grace.
Havre de Grace police issued a warrant on April 1, after a man was found unconscious and later identified Polley as one of six-to-seven men who attacked him, according to previous reports from the Havre de Grace Police Department.
Police officers initially responded on March 25 around 10:41 p.m. for an assault in progress, but arrived to see a man lay on the ground, unconscious, according to charging documents. The man regained consciousness and was transported to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with non-life threatening injuries.
During the attack, the man's cell phone, charger, GPS charger and penicillin prescription pills were stolen, valued around $120, according to charging documents.
The injured man later identified Polley through his photograph.
Polley appeared before Harford County District Court Judge Victor Butanis on Nov. 28, having been picked up for the assault charges, as well as on concealing a dangerous weapon. During his bail review hearing, Assistant Public Defender Timothy Bar noted that Polley is now blind after a gunshot to the left side of his face on Oct. 4.
Bar also requested a reduction in bail, but Assistant State's Attorney Donald Walter asked that Polley to be held without bond. Butanis kept the bail as originally set at $100,000.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Polley had not made bail was still being held in the Harford County Detention Center.
