A Havre de Grace man was arrested late Sunday morning six hours after fleeing an accident scene at Glenville and Level roads in the Churchville area.
Vincent Scott Johnson, 44, is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, resisting arrest and failing to remain at the scene of an accident, Cpl. Ray Domico of the Maryland State Police said.
Domico did not know Johnson's address, but state court records list a recent address of the 700 block of Lewis Street.
No one else was involved in the accident.
After driving his car off the road at about 4:44 a.m., Johnson fled the scene on foot and was found at 11 a.m. in the 3300 block of Level Road. Police searched for him on foot and in the air.
He sustained minor injuries.
