Man robs Aberdeen gas station at gunpoint

Aberdeen police are searching for a man who they say robbed a gas station in the city at gunpoint early Friday evening.

The man entered the Shell station at 1026 Middleton Lane at about 6:13 p.m. on Friday, displayed a handgun and demanded cash, police said in a news release sent Monday morning.

The robber fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the robbery.

The robber is described as a white man between 20 and 25 years old and about 5 feet 6 inches tall; he was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, white T-shirt and jeans. The store's security camera videotaped the robbery.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Det. John Divel in the Aberdeen Police Department Criminal Investigation Section, 410-272-2121.
