An Aberdeen man has been charged with second-degree assault after allegedly hitting two women and threatening to kill them.
Tykeem Bacon, 22, of the first block of Pritchard Avenue, was charged Dec. 23 with two counts of second-degree assault, having a handgun on his person, two counts of reckless endangerment, marijuana possession and possession of a drug other than marijuana.
Aberdeen Police initially responded on Dec. 22 to the first block of Pritchard Avenue for a report of an assault, according to charging documents, and spoke with a woman and her daughter. The women said they were staying with a relative there and got into an argument with Bacon.
During the argument, according to charging documents, Bacon allegedly struck the women in the face with his fist before threatening to kill them. He also allegedly pointed a silver handgun at them.
One of the women was able to call for police and Bacon fled the scene when he heard the sirens, according to charging documents, but officers found him during a canvas of the area and later found the gun at a neighbor's residence.
Bacon is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center.
