Traffic was backed up on I-9 for most of Tuesday morning after a tractor trailer caught fire, causing a headache for the morning commute.
Around 6:30 a.m., according to Maryland State Police, a tractor trailer driver on I-95 in Havre de Grace was having mechanical issues with his wheel when it caught fire, setting part of the trailer on fire as well.
There were no injuries in the incident, which caused a back-up on the highway, a duty officer with the JFK Barrack of Maryland State Police said.
The road was reopened around 10:30 a.m.
