An Aberdeen man has been charged with armed robbery in connection with an early October incident.
David Malcom Jamal Dudley, 23, of the first block of Osborne Road, was charged Thursday with two counts each of armed robbery, robbery, first-degree assault and second-degree assault and one count each of theft less than $1,000 and the use of a firearm in a violent crime.
The incident dates to Oct. 4. Dudley appeared Thursday before District Court Judge Victor Butanis in a bail review hearing, where his bail was increased to $500,000.
Dudley lives in Aberdeen with his mom and has a 4-year-old son, according to Public Defender Lynne McChrystal, and has lived in Harford County his entire life. McChrystal requested a reduction in bail or for it to be left as set at $50,000.
Assistant State's Attorney Trenna Manners requested Dudley be held without bond, calling the charges serious and arguing that he poses a danger to the community.
As of Thursday afternoon, Dudley was still being held at the Harford County Detention Center on $500,000 bail.
