Detonated bottle bomb found in Bel Air mailbox

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating two separate incidents in Harford County, including its bomb squad investigating a bottle bomb that was found denoted Wednesday evening in a mailbox attached to the front of a Bel Air house.

Around 6:20 p.m., a detonated bottle bomb was found in a mailbox in the first block of North Atwood Road. There were no injuries or damages to the structure and no fire companies responded, but the Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating.

There was also a fire at around 7 p.m. Wednesday in the first block of Grant Street in Aberdeen. A shed, owned by Alton Homes, Inc., caught fire, resulting in $1,500 worth of structural damage. Aberdeen firefighters responded to the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
