Sadly, Martin was a troubled kid. He lost his life on that February night because of violence, both given and received, not because he was black or because Zimmerman is Hispanic. Where is the outrage by blacks or the media when a large percentage of inner city killings are black on black? Where is the outrage when a white person is killed by a black person? If we are to weigh justice we must do so in a balanced setting, with our laws as written and blindfolded to emotion; not peeking out for color, stacking the scales of justice, or tossing away reasoned thought. Would we be so concerned if Martin had been an Eskimo and Zimmerman a Mongol? I think not.
