A Maryland State Police Medevac helicopter was dispatched to the scene of a traffic accident in Jarrettsville Tuesday afternoon, and police say the life of the person injured is not in jeopardy.
At approximately 3:51 p.m. Tuesday, a 67-year-old man veered off of Sharon Acres Road in Jarrettsville and his car hit a tree, according to Harford County Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Monica Worrell, who made reference to a preliminary investigation.
The man was initially trapped in his vehicle, but sustained non-life threatening injuries and was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore, Worrell said. There were no other people in the vehicle, she said, adding, no other cars involved.
A crew from the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene to assist with the rescue.
