Traffic on I-95 was detoured for six hours Tuesday morning after one tractor trailer rear-ended another not far from the Havre de Grace exit.
Around 2:30 a.m. a tractor trailer heading north hit another tractor trailer in the area of the Route 155 interchange, according to Maryland State Police with the JFK Highway Barrack.
Both drivers were injured and taken to area hospitals. The names of the two drivers were not available Tuesday afternoon, but police say one of the drivers sustained serious injuries in the crash.
The highway was closed for about six hours, with all lanes reopened to traffic by 8:14 a.m., according to state police.
Traffic was redirected away from I-95 to Route 40 for the duration of the closure, police said.
