Mistaken for dead, homeless man found in Harford Dumpster

Employees at a north Bel Air restaurant thought they had found a dead body Tuesday, but they were mistaken.

It turned out to be a homeless man — who was quite alive.

A call was made from the Little Caeser's in the first block of Red Pump Road about a body in a trash Dumpster Tuesday evening, according to calls for service logs at the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

As the employees got closer, however, the man spoke and ran away, Monica Worrell, the sheriff's office's public information officer, said.

Deputies later located the man and discovered he was a homeless man, Worrell added.
