Man found with critical head injuries in Havre de Grace

The identity of a 40-year-old man found with life-threatening head injuries in Havre de Grace on Nov. 3 has still not been revealed by the city's police.

As of Wednesday, he was in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, where he has been since Nov. 3, according to police spokeswoman Julie Morgan.

The man had injuries to his head when he was found, but there were no obvious signs of what caused the injuries, Havre de Grace Police Department spokesman Jeff Gilpin said.

He was found on the ground in the 100 block of Deaver Street at about 8:20 p.m. and was transported to Bayview hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition.

Gilpin said the man's condition was upgraded to stable as of 10 a.m. on Nov. 3.

As of Wednesday, police had not identified any suspects or given any indication what caused the injuries.

Detectives are interviewing several witnesses, Gilpin said.
